Board Profile of Trustees

The Charity’s Executive Committee have a range of diverse relevant skills and interests. All Executive members are volunteers interested in making a bigger difference to their local community.

Mohammed Sarwar (Chair)

Wealth of experience of working with voluntary and community groups and business planning of the organisation. He is a senior committed employee of the organisation and under the direction of the Management Committee and in co-operation with representatives of other agencies, develops strategies which benefit the community sectors.

He has a good understanding of various health and social care policies to support users, carers, families and services.

Asif Nazir (Secretary)

Business Director for estate company, experience in managing staff, supporting charities, networking with other volunteer organisations and businesses, skilled in finance and public relations.

Khalida Yasin (Treasurer)

Currently Self-employed, previously worked for as Women Project Co-ordinator in Huddersfield. Well connected with transferable business and planning skills. Has experience in advising and empowering women projects.

Governance

The Executive Committee provides a strategic direction of the organisation and work with staff and volunteers. Regular meetings are held to ensure effective running of the organisation and projects,

including the progress, attendance, expenditure and feedback.

The Executive Committee seek the views of elected members, service users, staff, learners, funders and volunteers on an ongoing basis, to continue to develop the organisation and its work.

RIUK has a voluntary supportive Executive Committee and staff, which is rich in organisational,  raining, business and financial management skills, as well as a number of volunteers who regularly  assist the organisation across the full range of its  projects
